Application 1: "S-Video to RCA" adapter allows satellite system to work with S-Video.

"I have a 15 yr old satellite system with RCA jack video. My new TV has an RCA and a S-video. It is a 27" model which if you are using the RCA and you plug in an S-video cable, even with nothing on it, the picture goes to black & white. All these connections are poor access on the back. So I can't leave a wire in the S-video jack to hook up my Hi8 camcorder hanging out the front. Now all my new equipment has S-video. I purchased a video input switch with RCA and S-video. I found that again you can't mix RCA and S-video thur the switch to the TV. Your adapter allows the Sat. to go into the box as an S-video and be switched with all the other S-video equipment. Now my camcorder can be used with an S-video wire out of the switch. The thing works great. Locally no one could understand or offer a solution. Thanks Al"
