HDMI Optical Series Flying Leads
The HDMI Optical Series allows you to easily send an HDMI signal or DVI-D signal over long distances using fiber optic cable. The uncompressed digital signal is sent over the fiber optic cable.
The HDMI Optical Series consists of "Flying leads" and wall plates that connect to the "runner cables" allow you to send the digital signals over long distances. The runner cables are fiber optic cables that have micro-USB connector on each end and thus allow you to rapidly send a digital signal over fiber optic cable. The runner cables are plenum rated and OFNP-rated for in wall installations.
The Optical Flying Leads allow you to send HDMI or DVI-D over fiber optic cable. The Transmitter does not require power but power is required on the Receiver end. The power is input on a micro-USB connector on the receiver flying lead. A micro-USB to USB-A cable is supplied and you need to connect it to a USB power source on the display or on a USB power supply.
The Flying Leads feature an HDMI Type A (standard) male connector on one end and a female Mini-Display Port connector on the other end. The Mini-Display port side connects to the Optical Runner cables that have a male Mini-Diplay Port connector on both ends. On the other end of the runner cable you can connect to the receiver Flying lead or to the Optical Wall Plate.
