This adapter features a male 4-pin S-Video connector on one end and a female RCA jack on the other end. You can use this adapter when you need to convert from 4-pin S-Video to composite video and you want to connect your own video cable to the adapter; just remember that when you interconnect cables of different guage it is like connecting a water hose of one diameter with another hose of a different diameter, the water will not flow as well.
