M12 4-Pin Aviation Extension Cable
Our M12 4-Pin Aviation Extension Cable features M12
male-to-female 4-Pin Aviation connectors; it is available in various lengths.
This cable is typically used to extend the connection of the cable from a camera to the monitor or mobile digital video recorder.
The camera usually has a short cable with a male M12 4-Pin Aviation connector to the monitor or mobile digital video recorder (MDVR) that has a female M12 4-Pin Aviation connector.
The M12 connector allows you to "lock" the connection with the screwing mechanism of the M12 connector. The M12 connector is also sometimes referred to an an MX12, GX12, or, just simply, Aviation connector. The M12 refers to the 12mm diameter of the thread on the connector. The outside diameter of the connector is 15mm, so you may need to drill a hole just slightly bigger than 15mm diameter if you are feeding the cable through.
The cable itself has four individually insulated wires that are connected to the four pins. The four wires are inside a cable that has a 5mm diameter.
The wires are suitable for low voltage power, video, audio, and ground. In a mobile video application, the connectors are used to transmit power video, audio (if supported), and common ground.
