The HDMI over Fiber 2 Port Transmitter allows you to extend and distribute an HDMI signal (or DVI-D signal) over fiber from a few feet to up to 99000 ft., depending on the type of module and grade of fiber used. A digital DVI-D signal can be connected to the HDMI port with either an adapter or an HDMI to DVI cable.
This HDMI over Fiber 2 Port Transmitter ships with one multi-mode fiber-optic module with the Core Module. The Core Module provides the main video processing and fiber-optic interface logic. This 2-port Core Module can support two fiber-optic modules allowing you to distribute the signal to two receivers or to daisy chain to another transmitter.
The HDMI over Fiber Transmitter has a standard HDMI connector for the input and a standard HDMI connector on the other side of the module for output to a local HDMI display, if necessary. Above the HDMI connectors is a nut that allows you to use cables that have a screw or other locking mechanism in order to lock the HDMI cable in place.
This HDMI Transmitter is also known as VG-TX2-MM-HDMI for Voyager (VG), Transmitter (TX), 2-port, Multi-Mode (MM), and HDMI.
The Core Module is also a Distribution Amplifier. The Core Module has two fiber-optic ports and you can send two identical signals with the
optional fiber-optic module. The Core Module has a USB port for configuration purposes only and has a USB type "B" port. A standard USB A-B cable is optional and is required to connect to a host PC.
A power supply is included with the Core Module is a 10-13VDC regulated, 3A maximum. The power jack is a 2.1mm pin, 5.5mm OD, 11mm long.
The HDMI over Fiber Transmitter works with the HDMI over Fiber 2 Port or 4 Port Receivers.
