The picture above shows an example of how one matrix switch "frame" can be configured with 16 inputs and 16 outputs. Each input also has "cascade output" to pass-through the signal to connect to a local receiver or to cascade to another frame. Each frame has 16 outputs.
The diagram shows how the "input cascade output" can be used to connect two frames together in order to increase the outputs by 16. Frames can be connected via the "input cascade output" to increase the outputs by 16 per frame.
